Post- Settlers' Outing

Heyhey it's been so long since i last blogged here lol. i shall accede to gerald's request to blog bout yesterday's super amazing class outing (sorry ah my vocab is limited...nice, amazing, wonderful..u get the idea)

Anw yesterday was, in my opinion, the best class outing we've had. haha thats imo, i may be biased (just like how systematic sampling can be biased if sampling units follow a periodic or cyclic pattern). 8 of us met at clarke quay mrt at noon and proceeded to waraku jap restaurant for lunch, where yichen exploited the restaurant of 2 pieces of chicken and naichien ate 1 bowl of noodles and 1 bowl of rice with beef all by himself (and subsequently went on to devour the veggies on my tray).

Then we met up with victor, derek, shuting and shih ee. Walked to settlers cafe. Hmmm it wasnt really how I expected it to be. It was cosier..and more homey i guess. Split into 2 groups and played random board games. My group began with this game called "You Must Be An Idiot!" which i guess Moses picked (for obvious reasons). Hmmm it was followed by Cranium, Charades with props, some miner game and a pirate game called "Loot" which is my personal favourite. As cliche as it may sound, I dun think it was the games that mattered, but more of the people whom I had a great time with =) Really...

After settlers ended at 6, a small group of us went to the nearby Fisherman's Wharf for fish and chips. And as the sun was setting, we strolled along the Singapore River. For some inexplicable reason, i really really liked the river. And I suddenly remembered these verses:
Life is like a river which
Flows through many turns,
But even when that river takes us
In different directions,
We will always find each other again -
Just around the next bend;
For our friendship is forever,
And that which runs strong and deep.
