Trivial 101

Hello, the class blog is

DYING...

So I thought I would just post some random trivial about our class to liven it up.

3E is a very very capable class but it seems that every man (and woman) has their own weaknesses. I so happen to find out about these little things in the past two weeks. They are:

Ada CANNOT tell where is left and right
Moses CANNOT tie balloons or turn up for CIP next saturday
Wei Yang CANNOT blow or tie balloons
Priscilla CANNOT play checkers or turn up for CIP next saturday
Yunyi CANNOT turn up for CIP next saturday
Gerald (I mean myself) CANNOT keep his mouth shut at the right time
Si En CANNOT be stupid (so he claims)
The rest of the class CANNOT turn up for CIP today

Add on to the list if you want.

Class Outing: Shell Eco Village Challenge

Heyy, its me again!

Holidays started 1 week ago and 3E decided to go do something meaningful and fun so half the class went for the CCAL camp and turned black while the other half went to the Science Centre and became Estate Managers for secondary school kids and watch over their hut building. Here's a roundup of what happened at the Science Center :)

Day 1:

As they always say, the early bird catches the worm, so 3E turned up super early in the morning to take part in the activity (To our disappointment, only one person caught the worm, that being Priscilla, who saw an earthworm in the pail of gravel and her group was lucky enough to get it in their bag). The rest of us were welcomed by Ada, the student IC (worm?), who acted really really bossy for the next two days.

Well, we then sat down and waited for the event to start and while we waited, we saw schools arriving with their recycled materials - bamboo sticks, banana leaves, parts of chairs, trucks. Oh wait! Trucks are not recycled materials, but still, one school arrived with a truck - filled with recycled material. (Guess which school that was?)

Anyway, after all the schools arrived, they balloted for a plot of land to build their hut on. Most of us are satisfied with the schools we got, especially Mia :) After that, we sat there and watched the schools build their huts. We got bored really quickly so we started to aggregate into a lipid bilayer-like structure and talked to each other while ignoring the rest of the world.

Happy people at the start

Bored people 5 minutes after the event started

So the day went on like this and like that and like this and like that till it started raining and the day ended.

Day 2:

The second day was a lot more fun because it was half a day long only and we had plenty of time to roam around the Science Centre.

Science Centre is a really fun place. Really, I mean it. It has many gadgets that people can use to test how man they really are and 3E, being vain did not hesitate to try them out. There was this pedal thing which we can use to see how much work we are doing (time taken to move a load). We took turns to pedal and concluded that the machine was lame.

Ok I was trying to make the point that everyone tried.

After the pedaling thing, we also tried a "test your strength" thingy which requires you to use a hammer to whack something and you see how much you score. (I know my description is bad and my vocab is lacking but bear with me). In order the protect the people who tried it and showed unglam faces, I shall not post photos.

Science center also had this interactive projector where you can actually control projected images by moving your shadow against the item on the screen. We had plenty of fun but after looking at the photos, I also realised that it was just an attempt to trick us into getting into unglam positions.

After the free time was over, it was prize presentation ceremony. Mia was the usher who was to bring the guest of honour or very important people onto the stage so right before the presentation, she practiced to look cute:

Later on was the prize ceremony. To our surprise, we actually won a prize.

For that, we were able to take a photo with the usher.

OMG! What's happening!

I got eaten!

Ok that was the end of the 2 days. This blog post is soo long and I feel like a girl posting so many photos ><. Cya people soon!
