Just some trivia before I begin:
The Cheetah is the wrongly regarded fastest land mammal, just because it can travel at a top speed of 70mph.
The fastest mammal is actually a Moses rushing off to teacher's day celebration at Dunman High. Moses travels so fast (faster than the speed of light) such that he goes back in time to be punctual for the start of Dunman's teacher's day celebration.
The Sloth is regarded by many as the slowest mammal, travelling at a mere 0.15 mph. This is also a common misunderstanding.
The slowest land mammal is an Ada Teo. This is especially evident after Wei Yang tells her a lame joke because she will take an eternity to get the joke before co-ordinating her jaw, throat, head, etc to produce a laugh.
Ok, now I shall begin. Despite the tremendous speeds I mentioned earlier on, it is undeniable that Time is the second fastest thing in the universe (travelling at 1 second per second). The fastest thing in the universe, just in case you don't know, is bad news. Nothing travels faster than bad news (Adams, D., Mostly Harmless).
Time travels quite quickly, and now its already the end of august. We are only 23 days away from Promos and it will hit you hard in the face, knock you out, bring you into a coma before you know it. Because of that, I have decided to stop blogging in the past week so I can concentrate and keep a lookout for Promos and duck when it comes round the corner so I won't get hit.
Here's what made me start to blog again:

We just received our class photo and I can use myHeritage on it ;D
Ok so I tried to use the whole friggin photo on myHeritage and it didn't work, at least not for me. Couldn't find a single face on it. Stupid myHeritage, that means I have to make another collage again.
I tried to be creative and I came up with:

WOW! It says 3E if no one notices. I know its really ugly but who cares, as long as the stupid program can recognise faces I dont care where the faces are.
Anyway, the results are at:
Herefor those who are too lazy to download the photo and run the myHeritage thing yourself.
Now is the time for revenge lol (Sam returns as Hugo Chevez)
But this stupid thing cannot recognise Waihan and Lester and Shuting on this photo. Eeyer, so I made another collage using the same pictures (which was quite a stupid thing to do):

Apparently it worked a bit, Waihan and Lester and now recognisable but Shuting is still not recognisable. The similarity thing is also different for each person now so you guys can have fun seeing whos who.

HereThe links should die in a few hours so just download the photos and go to
myHeritage to check out who you look like.

Teacher's Dae Celebrations!
We wish you a merry teacher's day.
We wish you a merry teacher's day.
We wish you a merry teacher's day and happy promos.
(Go! Go! RJ Teachers!)A Big
Thank You to Mr. Eric Hui for all the efforts he put into this class, for without him we would not have been so bonded, so strong in economics, so aware of the impacts of global warming.
to (Oops I forgot the other time) our favourite Ms Sharon Chan for being, I would believe, the most tolerant teacher on earth. Thank you for being so patient and nice to us, despite the fact that we always try to joke around and mess up your lessons. The stories about your son and daugther, Pictionary, Taboo, and the dictionary-cum-hangman game machine that you bring into class really livens it up a lot a lot a lot.
to Ms. Nicole Liaw for discreetly guiding us along towards achieving greater heights in biology. You have imparted a wealth of knowledge to us even though they are outside syllabus. Not only that, we have learnt the lifeskills of being exam smart too :P
to Mr. Jimmy McTay for making chemistry lesson so happy for all of us. You are able to make even the stonest people in class laugh out loud under the tense atmosphere during practical sessions. Wearing safety goggles is cool? Which other teacher would have thought of that?
to Mr. Chan for being very approachable and nice, making the usual boring math tutorials a joy to attend.
to Ms. Poh for reading all our PW reports at least 4 times and guiding us towards creating a better report. Your effort is greatly appreciated by all of us and we are very happy to have you as our PW teacher.
to Ms. Jeanne Tan for her wonderful pedagogy, making chemistry a fun subject for all to enjoy. Your resignation is a great loss for the Singapore Education system but with the government pushing for privatisation, being a private tutor is definitely a way you can help educate the youths of the nation.
to Mr. Ariff Chan for his dedication towards the class, helping us in every possible way. You will definitely be a great help for the J2s, given your experience and teaching skills, to bring them to glory in the new 'A' levels.

Yesterday at IMH, I had the rare opportunity to get close to our class's hottest celebrity Moses Tan Yong Qiang to ask him a few questions about his love life. Here's how it goes:
Gerald: Sooo... Who's your first crush?
Moses: Why should I tell you?
Gerald: Come on, tell me who your first crush was?
Moses: Why should I tell you? Not that you will know her anyway...
Gerald: Erm, maybe because I won't know her so it doesn't matter if you tell me or not
Moses: Go Away!
Ada: Why don't you ask Gerald who his first crush is?
Moses: Why would I want to know?
Gerald: Ya, why would he want to know? How about asking about your first crush?
Moses: Maybe her first crush is you...
Gerald: If she crushed me, I would be in the hospital with broken bones and stuff.
Moses: Wahlao that's damn mean
After a while...
Gerald: Sooo... Who's your first love?
Moses: Why should I tell you?
Gerald: Why not?
Moses: Because you won't know her anyway...
Gerald: So I wouldn't know either your first crush or love... Do you think I will find anything in your blog's archive? Maybe that's why you chose to hide it from everyone.
Moses: No way, my blog only started in sec 2
*Silence*
Gerald: Does that mean you had your first love when you were younger than sec 2
Ada: Ya, maybe its in primary 2
Moses: Oh ya, did you know Sharon Chan has a daugther who's 11 months old?
*More Silence*
Moses: Her son always pinches her daugther.
Gerald: Erm how did we come to talk about her daugther?
Moses: Dunno, lets think.
Moses: Orh, we were talking about my first love being in primary 2 and I thought about her son and then her daugther.
*More Silence*
The interview ended there because I forgot what happened after that... But this short interview comes to show Moses is a very popular boy who started dating in nursery but he has weird trains of thoughts that connect randomly and his vocab is quite limited ("Why should I tell you" is a standard reply to most questions).

well. since i said i will blog, i shall. yeah. as everyone knows, i am not too bright. so i shall just offer my 2 cents worth here and hopefully 'throw brick attract jade'.
alright. firstly, i think our class has been great this year. i mean, together, we went through all the tutorials and lectures and things are going on pretty well. we definitely had a lot of great teachers at the start of the year but right now their replacements are definitely not bad either. so looks like we are all doing ok and getting along well.
secondly, i would think that sometimes, when something is on auction or is something that's like limited edition, we should buy it, even if it means at a higher price / allowing the producer to practise price discrimination such that there's no consumer surplus but only producer surplus. (for details, pls refer to econs lecture notes on market structure) yeah. it's like i wanted to buy super nice mechanical clock. but then at that time i was like 'aiya too ex. maybe next time.' then now when i check again, gg, the model is no longer in production. lol. so it's like lost. bleahz.
thirdly, i shall describe the class outing we had on national day week. the one on last friday. the following people participated: weiyang, gerald toh, waihan, moses, samuel, liting and yunyi. of course i was there too, being an extremely active member of the class. =P yeah. so we ate our lunch and sang some songs and played a bit of pool and went home. i am being very brief here since words simply cannot describe how fun the outing was. yupyup. sooooooooooooooo, if you want it for yourself, come for the next class outing! =)
alright. i have done a pretty long post so i think i shall stop here before you all get so bored that you want to suan me for entertainment. yeah.
p.s. one last thing. for those people who have yet to pay class funds. pls pls pls pay by tmr then i can settle all the accounts by the weekend and update the class e-group's accounts. thanks lots. =D

This post is just an attempt to imitate Ada's blog writing techniques and predict the content of her next post. Any similarities to the actual next post is purely coincidental and unintended.
Title: National Day Celebrations and Concluding of IHCs
Hey,
Its the National Day holidays and we had National Day celebrations in school yesterday. There were loads of fun events and I really don't know where to being with. But never mind, I will walk you through the WHOLE of yesterday.
I came to school and went for assembly. While singing the national day anthem, a sense of pride swelled up within me. Being just 2 days away from National Day and 9 hours away from National Day celebrations, I can really feel the Singaporean inside me awaking and roaring with enthusiasm about the upcoming celebrations. Unfortunately, I was soaked in emotions and thoughts and didn't actually sing the anthem or recite the pledge. What a pity it was.
Anw, I went for PW after that... [removed for the well-being of the readers] ... before we were finally released for lunch.
Had lunch with mark, gerald and weiyang yesterday. How often was it that our class is able to come up with a consensus to where to eat lunch in less than a minute...
After lunch, we went to look for partyworld. The place was so far away and I walked for so long that I must have torn a ligament . Well, what happened there taught me a bit about life - that life is full of surprises. We were just standing in front of the counter at partyworld when a man popped up from behind it. We were all surprised!
We went back to school for celebrations after that. The record breaking booths were all so exciting! I wanted to do this, I wanted to play that but in the end, I didn't do anything at all. Before long, it was 6.30pm and our class went to the track to gather for national day celebrations after we took our share of the unlimited food.
National Day Celebrations was a great success! There were songs and dances, Mr and Mrs Singapores, teachers and students. I really appreciated what the national day committee has done for us. Thank you 27th! At the end of the event was the most anticipated part of yesterday - IHC RESULTS! After a year of hard work, of blood and tears, BW has emerged victorious! Great Job BW!
Really happy about yesterday's celebrations. Wish me luck for piano exams today.

Hi, thought I will blog here since chem spa is over...
Since I am bored, I decide to use this blog as an avenue for lameness. Here are the 7 miracles of 08S03E, in no particular order of "miracleness".
1. SD getting a comment on his progress report saying that "he is well-liked by his classmates". Lol, must have been an opinion poll done by one person only. Kudos for guessing who.
2. GT managing to swallow his water down his windpipe, vomit it out, and drink it back in the normal way (that is, as normal as he can go). Impressive control of your windpipe, Gerald. You might consider playing the pipe organ in future.
3. WY's (That's me) water bottle contains certain sediments which fascinate two budding young scientists, Uncle Wang and SC so much that they have taken to shaking it (under guise of centrifuging it), predicting its nutritional values, and guessing when I will die from drinking. Fortunately, I am far from dead, though I am a bit crippled in one foot.
4. YQ, despite his pessimistic outlook to life, looks forward to mondays, wednesdays and fridays, because "got prawn mee". Almost as if prawn mee is some kind of holy grail for this guy.
5. Lullabies are out of fashion. A SRP research done by the eminent scientist GT shows that National day songs are fantastic for causing sleep. Forget about warm milk or sleeping pills man, N day songs are the fad.
6. SD is actually a death eater sent by You-Know-Who. Constantly stunts YQ with incantations disguised as phrases like "I love RECAS" and "I can come for RECAS today". Be wary, people.
7. SE invented a new maths formula today during maths test today and promises that the formula will have an enormous impact on the world. Great job, SE. I predict that the formula will make a revolutionary breakthrough in the making of artificial crutches for lame people like me. Can't thank you enough.
Apologies to any one offended by the above post. All characters mentioned are fictional.
Really fictional.
Completely fictional.
Not.
